Poorna Jaganathan is an American producer and actress, best known for her portrayal of Nalini Vishwakumar in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. by Mindy Kaling. Jaganathan spent her childhood in many different countries including Pakistan, Ireland, India, and Argentina. Some of her other notable roles include Blacklister #44 on The Blacklist, a journalist in Dehli Belly, and appearances in Big Little Lies and Better Call Saul. Jaganathan produced and acted in a play called Nirbhaya as a response to a gang rape and murder in Dehli back in 2012. Additionally, Jaganathan was named one of the top 100 most impactful Asians by Goldhouse in 2021 and 2022.
As a teenager with many friends who watch Netflix, I hear a lot about Never Have I Ever. My mom has watched the show as well as many of my classmates. At SALA, it will be amazing to hear from such a well-known actress about her career in Bollywood and Hollywood.
